City Code & Charter

Just as each state has its own laws, cities have the authority to create their own ordinances. The City Charter grants authority to, and at times directs, the City Council to establish laws (ordinances) particular to the City of Wayzata. These ordinances are assembled into a City Code.

The City Code is maintained by the company Municode and is updated electronically on a regular basis if changes to the Code occur.
