Community Service Officer (CSO)

The City of Wayzata is now accepting employment applications for the position of a Community Service Officer (CSO).

Position Details:

The Community Service Officer position is a part-time position that provides support services to all divisions of the police department and performs tasks assigned by a superior officer.  Duties will include fingerprinting, ferrying squads for service, equipment maintenance, traffic direction, vehicle lockouts, respond to medical emergencies, animal complaints, enforcement of parking laws, city ordinances, and property codes. The Community Service Officer works under the direction of the Police Sergeant and under the general direction of the Police Chief.  This position will work 16 hours per week with some flexibility in scheduling.

Minimum Requirements:

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid Minnesota driver’s license, a good driving record at the time of appointment and have the ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation.
