The boat parade will be held on Wednesday, July 4th at 2:30 p.m.
The parade will be held on the west side of Wayzata Bay, starting north of Spirit Island.
The parade will be led by the Wayzata Fire Department’s Fire Boat.
The parade route will proceed north along the west shoreline of the bay, pass in front of the Wayzata Beach and Depot and conclude at the Broadway docks.
Judging will be from the overlook at the Wayzata Depot or the west end of the Broadway Dock.
Each participant will be emailed an 8.5” x 11” number card which must be held up when passing the judging area.
Only boats with visible participant numbers will be judged.
Registrants are responsible to print out the number card and bring it to the event.
Winners will be selected in the following categories:
Boat Parade winners will be recognized by having photos posted on the City of Wayzata’s website.
All boats and equipment must meet minimum Coast Guard Safety Requirements.
Only motorized watercraft may register and participate in the parade.
The Wayzata Boat Parade is permitted through the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office Water Patrol Unit and, by registering for the parade, each registrant understands the inherent risks involved with participating in the event.
