Administration
The Administration Department provides support for the City Council, the City Manager and all departments located at City Hall.

Assessing
The Assessing Department is responsible for establishing the estimated market value and determining the property classification of each parcel of property located within the City of Wayzata on an annual basis for the purpose of property tax allocation.

Building Inspection
The Building Inspection Department is responsible for the application and enforcement of the building codes and related ordinances regulating construction, alterations and the use of buildings within the city.

The Communications Department manages and is responsible for the communications for all the City departments.

The Finance Department coordinates the preparation of the annual financial report and the annual budget.

Fire Department
The Wayzata Fire Department is a volunteer department that serves the City of Wayzata.

Motor Vehicle Department
The Motor Vehicle Department handles registration of licensing motor vehicles, boats, snowmobiles and more.

Municipal Liquors
The Muni has been owned and operated by the City of Wayzata since 1947.

Planning
The Planning Department administers and enforces the city's zoning code, comprehensive plan, and design standards.

Police Department
The Wayzata Police Department serves the citizens of Wayzata and Long Lake and employs 13 sworn police officers.

Public Works
The Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance of all city streets, water and sewer systems, storm sewers and engineering of infrastructure.
