Tree Preservation Ordinance
The City is in the process of updating multiple chapters in code that relates to the preservation and maintenance of trees in Wayzata. The goal of the proposed updates is to improve the protection and preservation of trees and to enhance the natural environment of the community.

Solar Ordinance
A Zoning Ordinance Amendment will be considered to create a new Chapter in the Wayzata City Code - Chapter 938. The proposed Solar Ordinance would regulate all solar energy system installations in the city. Currently, there are no specific regulations to solar energy systems in the City Code. The amendments will also incorporate minor amendments to Chapter 902 - Rules and Regulations, and Chapter 909 - Design Standards.
