Partners in Energy

Wayzata’s Energy Action Plan

Wayzata is working with Xcel Energy’s Partners in Energy offering to develop and implement an Energy Action Plan.

This will build on the energy related initiatives within Wayzata’s 2040 Comprehensive Plan.

What is Partners in Energy?PiE

Partners in Energy is a collaboration between the City of Wayzata and Xcel Energy that aims to set and accomplish goals for increased energy efficiency, conservation and renewable energy programs by engaging the residents and businesses in our community.

This collaboration is just beginning, with our first planning workshop set to launch in Summer 2020. Three facilitated workshops will lead the Energy Action Plan development, followed by 18 months of support through Partners in Energy for implementation of actions identified to meet the plan goals.

The planning workshop team (Energy Action Team) will include City staff, Energy and Environment Commission members, business owners, chamber of commerce, and residents.

While the goals and strategies are developed and outlined in our workshops, this webpage will be updated with progress. When the Energy Action Plan is complete, it will be live on this page as a comprehensive living document outlining City strategies for energy efficiency, conservation and renewable goals.

How can I help?
