There is still snow outside, but Wayzata is looking past it to springtime and summer. The City is partnering with Wayzata Public Schools Community Education to provide summer activities for all ages in our parks. Soon you will find a catalog from “Community Ed” in your mailbox with lots of ideas for making the most of the pleasant months ahead. Inside you will find schedules for numerous activities offering something for all ages.
Active programs include tennis, pickleball, bocce ball, archery and many more sports. There are also passive programs such as yoga, pilates, or art classes. Intergenerational programs and events are featured for the first time with such offerings as preschool science classes and a rocket program.
There will be a special “free family fun” event at Klapprich Park on June 13. Look for more information about that in upcoming e-newsletters.
Activities start in early June, so sign up early to reserve your spot in the activities that appeal to you. For a complete list of classes and activities see the catalog or visit www.wayzata.ce.eleyo.com. Early registrants receive a 5-percent discount.
