Construction crews have been making incredible progress. Lake Street between Ferndale and Barry avenues will be open to two-way traffic starting tonight.

Work to replace the road surface, sidewalks, utility infrastructure and streetlight system is well underway. This week, crews prepared planting beds on Lake Street, to make this stretch of road a beautiful place to walk, bike, or visit your favorite shops and restaurants. Progress is being made on the Plaza Park and public restroom facility, and construction crews will soon begin working on a splash pad. The project continues to be on schedule and estimated to be completed by the end of August.

While much work has already been accomplished, please note that construction continues in this area. We want everyone to be safe, so be sure to follow the marked detour signs and avoid construction zones. When you make your way to Lake Street or around Wayzata please wear a mask or face covering and practice safe social distancing.
