Navigate Wayzata video

Over the past three months, construction crews have completed significant work on Lake Street as part of the Panoway on Wayzata Bay initiative, including the creation of a Plaza Park and the extension and connection of bike trails. Watch the video above to see all the progress that has been made so far!

Lake Street is now open to westbound traffic from Broadway to Walker avenues, and to two-way traffic between Barry Avenue and Ferndale Road. While the streets are paved, the last layer of asphalt and lane striping will be completed later. Work continued this week off the street on installing landscaping, lighting, and irrigation systems. Work is ongoing at the Plaza Park, including installation of concrete pavement and construction of the public restroom building, which will have two family stalls.

Lake Street continues to be an active construction site, so be sure to follow the marked detour signs and avoid construction zones. We have installed additional safety lighting and marked a few trip hazards with white and yellow paint. We hope that these extra measures will keep everyone safe as we enjoy our lakefront this summer.
