Become a Night to Unite Block Party Host for Your Neighborhood

Neighborhoods across Wayzata have been gathering to celebrate Night to Unite for more than 40 years!
On August 3rd, there will be a kickoff luncheon (more details to come). Later that evening, Wayzata Police, Fire, City staff, elected officials, and McGruff, will visit neighborhood parties throughout Wayzata and Long Lake. Along with the police cars and fire trucks, there will be trinkets for kids and a crime prevention message at each stop. This is a great time to ask questions of elected
officials, police officers, firefighters, and City staff.

State Offers Vaccine Rewards

The State of Minnesota is offering rewards for the first 100,000 Minnesotans, aged 12 and older, who get their first COVID-19 vaccine between May 27 through June 30, 2021. Rewards include passes to the Minnesota State Fair, baseball games, Valleyfair and more. The rewards request form will be open on this page from June 1 through June 30.

Farmer's Market Has Returned

The Wayzata Farmer's Market returned to Lake Street this week. The market will take place from 1:30 - 5:30 p.m. at 850 Lake Street North at the Promenade.

The market will continue throughout the summer, every Thursday, through September 30th.

National Recognition for the
Section Foreman House

Meaningful recognition for the Panoway at Wayzata Bay's Section Foreman House --- now officially listed in the National Register of Historic Places! This would not have been made possible without the support of the Wayzata City Council, Wayzata Heritage Preservation Board, Wayzata Historical Society and the Wayzata Conservancy. Celebrate with us as we continue to honor our City's history and see progress towards preservation, access, and beautification of our most important natural resource, Lake Minnetonka.

Wayzata Community Education has launched a new partnership with the City of Wayzata’s Parks and Trails Board. This partnership allows Wayzata Community Education to provide additional active programs for youth and adults that promote fitness and wellness, as well as some that focus on enrichment, skill mastery and social engagement. Many activities include a multigenerational

component encouraging families to participate together!

Panoway Splash Pad - NOW OPEN!

Please note: the activation button requires the touch of a bare foot or bare hand. 

McCormick’s Beachside Concession - NOW OPEN! 

The McCormick’s concession stand opened at Wayzata Beach on Tuesday, June 1. Their menu will consist of Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Chili Cheese Dogs, Lobster Rolls, Fresh Squeezed Lemonade, and Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Gas Main Pipe Replacements

• CenterPoint Energy will be replacing gas main pipes along the streets indicated in the map to the left until the end of June.

• Due to the gas main replacements, Barry Avenue has been closed to southbound motorists until the completion of this project this month.
• Please note that Manitoba Avenue is currently closed to northbound motorists, due to building construction at 401 Lake Street.  Work has now begun on Minnetonka Ave. S.
