Reduce Waste with Organics Recycling

It is easy to make a difference in reducing waste and protecting the environment by signing up for organics recycling! In organics recycling, you collect food and compostable items in separate green bags (that are compostable) that you place in your trash cart. The green bags are later separated from the trash and sent to a compost site, where they are turned in a nutrient-rich soil amendment.

Organics recycling is already included with your trash and recycling service. You just need to sign up to get started.

Keep Your Home Safe & Secure While You’re Away on Spring Break

With spring break trips coming up, here are some quick reminders to keep your home safe and secure while you are gone:

  • Unplug electronics that don’t need power
  • To deter break-ins, put lights on around the house on timers
  • Ask a neighbor to gather mail
  • Check to make sure all entry points of your home are secure
  • Avoid posting your trip on social media until you return

If you’re out of town for an extended period, let the Wayzata PD know and note any vehicles that will have permission to be on the property.

The Planning Commission will consider the application at their March 11 meeting.

Applicant Ecker Dermatology has applied to occupy an existing suite at 1905 Wayzata Blvd. Medical clinics require a conditional use permit to operate at this property. The Planning Commission will consider the application at their March 11 meeting.
