Water Meter Replacement Coming SoonThe City of Wayzata has contracted with Ferguson Waterworks and VEPO Metering to replace approximately two-thirds of the residential and commercial water meters throughout the city. Meters were last replaced approximately 20 years ago and are approaching their useful life. The project is anticipated to begin in November of 2024. The contractor will be notifying affected properties, via letter, to schedule appointments, in the coming weeks. There will be no cost to the property owner for this meter upgrade, but owners are required to have the water meter replaced. Property owners will need to ensure that the water shutoff valve on the incoming water service (before your water meter) is in working condition. If the valve does not close or it leaks, it will need to be replaced or repaired prior to scheduling an appointment.

Keep Storm Drains Clear of Yard WasteAlthough yard waste is composted of natural materials that will eventually decompose, the debris can affect the health of our aquatic ecosystem and could ruin our creeks and lakes. You can prevent this by keeping leaves off the street and utilizing yard waste collection events like the one below.
