[ARCHIVED] Comprehensive Plan Survey and Public Hearing Feedback

Comp Plan Wayzata-Logo

The comprehensive plan is a guiding document that shapes decision making for the future of the community over the next 20 years. The City of Wayzata has completed a draft of its 2040 Comprehensive Plan. The Wayzata 2040 Community Vision document was used to inform the plan’s goals and implementation actions. These goals were woven into the plan’s six plan elements or chapters – Land Use, Housing, Transportation, Natural and Community Resources, Historic Preservation, and Community Facilities.

A survey is available to provide an opportunity to comment on the final draft revisions of the comprehensive plan. The survey, https://polco.us/groups/city/wayzata-mn, will be open until May 20th, 2019. There will also be a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. at the May 20th Planning Commission Meeting as another chance to provide feedback. Your input will be used to help to finalize the Comprehensive Plan before moving to the adoption process. The Comprehensive Plan is scheduled to be submitted to the Metropolitan Council in June.

The comprehensive plan can be viewed at, www.wayzata.org/566/2040-Comprehensive-Plan-Update.

If you have any questions or comments regarding the comprehensive plan, contact Assistant Planner Nick Kieser at nkieser@wayzata.org or 952-404-5313.
