History of Bell Courts Park
Bell Courts Park, originally called the Tourist Park by local residents, features three stripped tennis or pickle ball courts. The Louise H. Bell cabana overlooking the courts was a gift to the city in the mid-1960s from the James Ford Bell family when Wheelock Whitney was Mayor of Wayzata.
Location
Bell Courts is located on the northwest corner of Park Street East and Minnetonka Ave North near the water tower and Klapprich Park and Field.
Features
The park includes three stripped tennis or pickleball courts, two bocce courts, grilling facilities (one grill) and two picnic tables. Restrooms are available on site. A patio area overlooks the courts for those who wish to watch a match.
Reservation Requests
The bocce, tennis and pickle ball courts are available to the public for open play and reservation. Please contact the City of Wayzata’s Parks Department at 952-404-5366 to make your reservation request.
