In 2026, MnDOT will be rebuilding Hwy 12 near downtown Wayzata between Shoreline Dr./Co. Rd. 15 and Central Ave. North/Co. Rd. 101. Originally built in 1970, this section of Hwy 12 needs to be replaced to continue to serve residents and those that use the highway.
The project includes repaving Hwy 12, replacing lighting, and making accessibility improvements between Central Ave. North/Co. Rd. 101 in Wayzata and I-494 in Minnetonka. MnDOT will also be repairing ramps along this section of Hwy 12.
